I’ll be honest, as far as geeky hobbies go, collecting figurines was never really one I adhered to. Not to say that there’s anything wrong with collecting dolls (cough, cough — action figures). I’m kidding, of course - it was just never something I did. However, when a little birdy guided my eye toward this new Professor Layton figurine that’s coming out in Japan very soon, well, I knew it was a thing I must have. Now.

The Revoltech Yamaguchi figure was released as a prototype at last year’s Comic-Con and is set to release on March 15 in Japan. However, a few US specialty stores will probably be able to get a few of these imported, so you might want to ask at your local comic or anime store, especially since these will probably go quickly. The price is set for 2,400 Yen, or about about $26.25 USD.
