Kill Kast 04: Q1 Gaming Adventure
Christmas will have come and gone in January, but doesn’t mean you can stop spending money! The Spawn Kill cast minus a couple of us — that’s Molotov Cupcake, Tigresa, K-Tuck, The Herp, and Snarkasaur — discusses the cornucopia of games being released Q1 of 2010 and various subjects that coincide with the games coming out as well as our subsequently drained bank accounts. Also on the agenda as usual is what we’ve been playing as well as a couple short news snippets. Don’t forget to enter the Call of Duty contest! You have until tomorrow to comment and win.
As always, thanks for listening and we hope you enjoy the fourth episode of the Kill Kast!

Just some general comments on some of the games that were discussed:
In an interview I read where Tony Hawk defended RIDE, he claimed that he approached Activision with the premise of the game in mind. Man, what would it be like if other athletes pitched there ideas for their own games? I suppose Tiger Woods would come up with a dating sim (Too soon?). Anyway, you can read about Tony Hawk’s interview here:

As for the Sabotage nudity DLC, I really do not see it as any different than having the free maps within new copies of Gears of War 2. One theory I heard on why the nudity in Sabotage was included as DLC was that they would not have to report it to the ESRB. In a forum post Giantbomb’s Jeff Gerstmann said that the ESRB does NOT rate DLC, so I think that may be a possibility. In either case, incentives for buying games new have become a bit of a trend now.
Finally, with Bayonetta, I’ve also been hearing about the PS3 version looking inferior to the 360 version in other podcasts. Ghostbusters and some other games had that problem as well I believe.

Thanks for linking the interview though there really wasnt much in there that was new. I knew he was apart of the game from the ground up but that could have hurt the game more than it helped. If I had a chance to sit down with him to talk about the game I would ask him real questions like the ones i had in the Podcast. If only…..
