In a recent NeoGAF posting, photos of a Resistance 3 Billboard surfaced claiming to have been taken from Shreveport, Louisiana. The poster says the billboard was built for the Battle: Los Angeles movie set.

According to IMDB the movie is about an alien invasion and is set to release in February 2011. With Ratchet and Clank and Resistance alternating years, and Ratchet set to release this year, it’s no shock that a Resistance 3 game is in the works. If the film in fact releases in February we could be looking at a February release date for the game as well. With Killzone 2 selling so well in February Sony could be looking to do the same with Resistance. If the billboard is real, Resistance 3 might be set in New York with the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building shown in the logo.

No official statement has been released by Insomiac but I’m sure we will be hearing something at least by the end of the year. Here is a full size image of the Billboard taken by NeoGaf user goldsoundz.
