ALT+F4: Weekend Deals, Nvidia Flashes The Bat Signal
Posted by Future Man on August 23rd, 2009
As per usual, there are tons of quality (mostly) games available on the cheap this weekend from the likes of Steam, GoG, D2D, and GoGamer. So if you’re hurting for something to play, you’ll probably be able to find something here. In keeping with the theme of deals, Batman: Arkham Asylum is going to be bundled with certain Nvidia video cards, adding some value to anyone who is looking to upgrade.
Check out all the deals this weekend, after the jump.
Bundled Bats
Batman: Arkham Asylum is going to be bundled alongside qualifying nVidia videocards, in the form of a voucher for a digital download. The offer is only available on their higher end cards, with the GTX 260, GTX 275, GTX 285, and Newegg lists the GTX 295 as a qualifying product. All of these will be providing you the chance to get your Batman on for free, if you were already in the process of upgrading.
After doing some cursory clicking around on the various listed retailers, it looks like the lowest you can scrape by with one of these cards is going to be in the $165 ballpark, not too bad, but keep in mind that with DX11 cards looming on the horizon, all of this stuff if going to be dropping in price pretty soon. But, if you need an upgrade right now, and happen to like Batman, this might be a pretty good deal for you.
Check it out right here. This will be running through December 31st, so you’ve got plenty of time to make a decision.

The Prince of Persia reboot is available for $4.90, not a bad deal at all.

Unreal Tournament III is $7.90, remember, you can tie the CD-Key into your Steam account for added awesome.

I think ATI is dropping their DX11 products on Sep. 10th, or at least announcing them. You might be able to get a great deal on a DX10 card, and snag batman for free after Nvidia launches their new cards.
