Modern Warfare Also Coming to Wii

A recent announcement has been made that Infinity Ward’s immensely popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released for the Nintendo Wii right around the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox 360, Windows, and PS3.
The port will be handled by Call of Duty veterans Treyarch, known for the well-recieved Call of Duty 3 and Call of Duty (5): World at War. This move may prove to be a successful venture on many fronts, as Nintendo Wii owners to date don’t get any of the big hitters from the usual cross-platform releases. If the popularity of Modern Warfare translates to good sales for the Nintendo console, perhaps bigger games will be heading in a similar direction.
Fans of the series can expect a release for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for Wii on November 10th.
