Let’s Celebrate! Worms 2: Armageddon Giveaway!
Whether you are a regular reader or a new visitor, we want to see our new registration system kick off today that we have set in place this week. If you can see on the right hand side of the page at the top of the sidebar, you can now login and register for Spawn Kill. So in effort to support our new registration system, we’d like to ask you all to register and drop us some comments! Being a registered user will net you a reminder whenever we post up a new contest for our readers in case you miss out. We’ve decided to kick it off by doing a little giveaway for the Xbox Live version of Worms 2: Armageddon that came out a few weeks ago.
So. The rules are simple! Spawn Kill’s own author, The Herp, has just reviewed Worms 2: Armageddon a few days ago, and he is not the game’s biggest fan, though we know the franchise has some diehards out there and those who have never dabbled in the humorous antics of Worms. To enter, you simply have to leave a comment here as a registered user of Spawn Kill (if you’re not registered you cannot win!). You may agree or disagree with The Herp’s review if you’re a fan, so leave a comment saying why you agree to disagree and the best entry will net the poster a free code for the game. Bonus points for humor, emotional distress, and harrassment.
You can find our review here for Worms 2: Armageddon.
Contest ends July 31st at midnight, EST.
We want to encourage adding your own avatar to your profile to appear beside your name when you comment. Once you register and login, you’ll be dragged onto the control panel area of the website. You can add an avatar easily by uploading it to the site here:

Once there, you can add an avatar by scrolling down to the bottom of the profile page and uploading one which should automatically resize to comment size.

How do you upload an avatar? I tried one from my hard drive and one from photobucket, but when I update, it doesn’t register.
I first played worms at a friends house on the PS1 back in the day. It was fun to watch the worms kill each other even if I screwed up and killed myself most of the time. I have the first worms for XBLA now and I am still not very good but its still as addicting as I first played worms on the PS1. I would love to have worms 2 to see what new weapons I can kill some worms with. I agree with the reviewer that the controls can be hard to master with leads to mistakes that can be frustrating. But its all part of what worms has always been.

It’s strange but I tend to trust Spawnkills reviews more than some of the bigger more corporate minded sites such as Gamespot and IGN.
Thanks Caffeine Knight! That makes me really happy to hear. ^_^

Hi there! first wanna say sorry for my english, its no my mother language and my grammar sucks :p
About worms:
WORMS… i cant remember when was the first played the series, if im not wrong it was on one of my first cellphone, i was addicted to play that little game (to tell the truth, i even played while i was on the W.C.)
The Herp does a good job trying to explain the soul of the game, but he cant never explain the feeling of exploding a missile right on a worm’s head and see him flying and screaming while he its heading to the sea to a blue end.
The weapons used in this wormicide are many and give plenty of chances to plan your strategy to send those worms to a better place, i have to agree that understading and remember what weapon does what, requieres some time to master (is not that easy to learn to use a bannana that bounces all over the place and explode in a few seconds, so snipers and precise shooters, beware…)
Moving your worms on the battlefield can be frustrating, the worms move so slowly, is like they had no legs… wait… they dont. i just realyzed that is why they are sooo slow. But there are some gadgets that make us life easier like a teleporter and a jetpack to move those poor wormstards around.
Having a racist character on a game… its good if you take it like a joke and dont take stereotypes too seriously, and after all, you can always invite a beer to your oponent’s worms (Any similarity to persons living or dead, or even a US president, is purely coincidental)
Like the review say the game mantain the same old formula, there are other games of the series where you can move worms freely like any 3D adventure game, not need to say that it was a bad idea, worms must be a 2D game and period. The controllers may be a bit clunky, but are perfect to aim your missiles, bannanas, sheeps, granades, drills, shotguns, weapons of mass destruction, etc, etc and blow away everything you see
Bottom line, we are in front of another really fun and addictive game, one that can be enjoyed without worrying on a complex storyline or a deep gameplay that take days to master. its perfect for all those vets and newbies that think that this world its too small to humans and worms to coexist, so enlist now and take part in the WWII (Worms Wars II)
