Microsoft To Release Wireless Microphone Peripheral For The Xbox
Posted by Spawn Kill on June 23rd, 2009
In a recent Microsoft press release, the company stated that they would be putting out a high-quality,wireless Xbox 360 microphone. This microphone will be compatible with previously released music games as well as upcoming releases.
The retail price will be around $50 (U.S.) according to Microsoft. This might be a godsend especially with the new Beatles: Rock Band being released this summer which allows multiple vocalists to perform at once. As a lot of you would agree the best part of this new peripheral release is the removal of wire clutter and confusion which we can all be grateful for. We will be able to see Microsoft’s new wireless microphone this fall on store shelves.

So what are the Lips Microphones then? Lips was published by MS…so I guess they are saying the Lips mics are not high-quality? Idiots should have made sure the Lips mics were compatible with all other music games in the first place.
Edit…just looked it up, and it's just the Lips mic being sold by itself
Basically thats what it is, Microsoft didn't officially state that but if you compare the microphone and the Lips mic they are basically alike. The new one might be slightly updated as any new device would be, but all-in-all I'm pretty sure the mics are the same if not very similar

i just use the xbox headset if i need to sing and play guitar at the same time on Rock Band. in fact i just use the headset if i ever have to sing at all cause its on the wireless controller and i can be a lazy ass while singing. But i dont like to sing so i guess this is for the fans who like to play vocals.
