I know I won’t be missing this year’s half-time show but if you happen to miss it don’t worry, you can play it on Rock Band immediately after the game. That’s right, Harmonix and MTV will be bringing you a “special version” of the performance which you will see on Sunday.

Gamers will be able to purchase the special track titled “The Who Super Bowl S-mashup” on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. The track will run you $1.99 or 160 Microsoft Points. The Super Bowl performance will join the 15 previously released tracks by The Who in the Rock Band library. I’ll have to wait and see how the performance shapes up and what songs they are playing before I give Harmonix my hard earned two dollars, but then again it is The Who and I have yet to meet someone that didn’t enjoy one of their songs in Rock Band.  Look for the track to be uploaded this Sunday following the big game.
