TBRBholidayMTV Games and Harmonix are getting ready for a big holiday push for The Beatles: Rock Band. The game which was released earlier this year at the end of August was met with huge critical acclaim and fans went in drones to get their hands on the Fab Four. During the holidays you can expect to see more Beatles mania in the form of a new TV commercial which will begin airing Saturday, November 21st. The new TV spot definitely makes me want to play the game right now but I don’t know if my family would get together like they do in the commercial, that’s asking too much from an American family. The commercial isn’t the only thing they are going to be doing to draw in more fans.

The Beatles: Rock Band has been one of the best selling games this year. People just can’t get enough of The Beatles. The title didn’t feature every song from The Beatles but just like with other titles released by Harmonix they are doing everything they can to add more and more songs to The Beatles: Rock Band Library. Last month we saw the release of the first downloadable album in Abbey Road. Today MTV Games and Harmonix have announced the release of the second downloadable album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Available for the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii on November17th and Playstation 3 on November 19th, the second DLC album brings us “Fixing A Hole,” “She’s Leaving Home,” “Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite!,” “Within You Without You,” “When I’m Sixty-Four,” “Lovely Rita,” “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)” and “A Day In  The Life.” With the songs from the Sgt. Pepper’s album that shipped with the game, players will now be able to play the complete album in The Beatles: Rock Band.

The songs can be purchased individually for $1.99, 160 Microsoft Points or 200 Wii Points. The complete album will go for $13.49 or 1080 MS Points. Check out the new psychedelic Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band gameplay trailer below which I know makes you want to download these songs.

beat1John, Paul, George, and Ringo – four young men who would unknowingly change the face of the music world forever. Regardless of your personal opinion as to the quality of their work, one cannot deny their influence on the way music has been shaped over the years. With infectious hooks, haunting melodies, and musical trips, the Fab Four have entranced us for years with a song catalogue that had never before been allowed to see its way onto a rhythm title, and for quite a while it seemed as though this was an event that would never occur – that is, until now. Though, sadly, John Lennon and George Harrison could not live to see it happen, the day has finally come that the Beatles’ music has been extended a warm welcome into the world of music gaming. Using what can arguably be called one of the most accessible music titles to general audiences, Rock Band, The Beatles have finally been immortalized in digital form, complete with their likenesses, voices, and even photographs, and they are ready to sing with you via the magic and intrigue of The Beatles: Rock Band.

In addition, CEO and founder of Harmonix Alex Rigopolus revealed some very juicy tidbits regarding upcoming tracks that could very well be hitting the Rock Band Music Store in the near future. Color me well excited. I’m chomping at the bit to get my Paul, John, George, and Ringo on as it is. So what are you waiting for? It’s time for another exciting Rock Band Roundup.
