IO Interactive is returning to their roots with the upcoming release of Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days. Dog Days is the sequel to 2007’s Kane and Lynch: Dead Men, a third-person shooter known mainly for its namesake protagonists and gritty locations, plot, and gameplay elements. The newest iteration of the series sees the duo taking care of business around Shanghai, and reflects the game director’s heavy film-based influences.

Shin Megami Tensei fans have had a lot to be happy about lately, and it looks like Atlus is giving MegaTen fans even more to smile about. Today they officially announced their newest SMT game, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey for Nintendo DS. I know the current March 2010 release date for Gran Turismo 5 seems so very, very far away, but here’s a few just-released screens to help tide you over.
Japanese Wii owners will be getting another new WiiWare title on October 27: Game Arts’ Shadow Walker: The Boy of Shadow and the Fairy of Light. In the game, you must use your ability to manipulate light in order to create a path of shadows to lead the tree fairy to the special location at each level. Once at that location, and when exposed to light, she will transform into a tree, which is apparently the goal of the game. Although details are sparse, a North American release is in the works, although no date has yet been set.
Do you love to watch shows like Law & Order and CSI? While several games have attempted to bring the CSI experience to your DS, Crime Scene from SouthPeak games promises to make the experience really come to life so that you really feel like a crime scene investigator, and not a gamer simply playing minigames, with the added bonus that there’s no real blood involved.
