Co-Director of Eat Sleep Play, slimmed down the possible release dates for the new Twisted Metal on this Twitter.
Jaffe was very chatty on his Twitter, and constantly replied to fans and their questions. In one response, he said that the release date for his coming vehicle combat game Twisted Metal will be known soon. Further more, he also said that the two release windows of Spring and Fall of 2011 given by Sony sources are wrong. So either the game will land in the Summer or Winter of this year.
He also said that he doesnt know if the game will get a Collectors Edition, but he hopes that it does. Jaffe also doesnt want to scam people with his DLC. He doesnt plan to cut complete pieces of data on the disc and make it into pricey DLC. For this game, what will come later will actually be developed and put out later. No day one pre-made DLC map packs.
Oh yes, and hes wearing a pair of flannel PJs and slippers and a navy t-shirt. Hes a very personal guy. Fans are welcome to throw suggestions over to him via Twitter, and possibly convince him to get out of his sleepwear.

Four of Bethesda Softworks new heavy hitters have been given release dates. The good news? You wont have to wait very long to pick these up. The bad news, with so many great titles being released, you may run out of money.
To start the lineup, Brink, a new first-person shooter set to blend both single-player, co-op, and multiplayer together, will be releasing in North America May 17th and in Europe on May 20th.
Next up is Hunted: The Demons Forge. This new take on the traditional dungeon-raiding game promises intense action and a witty storyline. Players can expect this co-op gem to hit shelves on June 1st in North America and June 3rd in Europe.
Rage follows up as one of the most highly anticipated games to be released this year. Its a new IP from famed Doom developers id Software. An epic adventure in a wasteland, Rage promises vast lands to explore, intense firefights, and vehicle combat. The game releases September 13th in North America and September 16th in Europe.
Finally, the long overdue Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the next in line for the Elder Scrolls series, will be releasing November 11th (11/11/11) worldwide. All of these games are set to come out on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
The MMO, DC Universe, has finally announced its release date 01/11/11. A nice choice of date, I would have to say. This release date is slated for North America on the PC and PS3 (UK Release Date: 1/14/11). If youre planning on grabbing one, the PC version will cost $49.99 while the PS3 is $59.99. Both versions comes with a free 30-day subscription to the MMO. After the trial, it will cost $15 a month – or $199 for a lifetime subscription.
For those wondering about the game, the main gist of it is that its an online universe where players can create their own brand of villains and heroes under the guidance of Batman, the Joker, Superman, etc.
- Visceral combat where you control every blow your character strikes
- Choose your side superhero or villain as you battle to save or conquer the universe.
- Fight alongside or against your favorite DC heroes and villains including Batman, The Joker, Superman, Wonder Woman and others…
- State-of-the-art physics engine and use objects in the world around you as weapons, including even your enemies!
- Create a custom DC-style hero or villain, each with a unique look and combination of superpowers.
- Embark on heroic or villainous story-driven adventures
- Explore the DC Universe Gotham City, Metropolis, Arkham Asylum, and the Justice League of America Watchtower.
While not free, the game itself is promising. Ive always wanted to make my own kind of superhero and this game provides that and more. DC fans, this game may just be what you’re looking for.
At last year’s E3 there was one game that stood out and completely blew me away and it was from Disney Interactive Studios. Split/Second, the action racing game from Black Rock Studios is bringing us a racing game that we’ve never seen before. From the creators of Pure, Split/Second was awarded Best Racing Game of E3 2009 from many critics.
The upcoming title is set to bring us a Hollywood style racing game with huge explosions making every lap unpredictable. Today Disney Interactive Studios announced that Split/Second will be released in North America on May 18th and in Europe on May 21st. They have been pretty tight lipped about the upcoming game but I’m sure we will be hearing more and more in the coming months, so stay tuned. If you don’t know much about it you can check out our preview here with some gameplay footage from E3.
