I know it’s been a criminal amount of time since we have posted up an episode of the Kill Kast, but we are here to make amends and get back in the groove. Our latest Kill Kast is hosted by Stephanie (Tigresa) as she is joined by Eric (The Herp), Dave (Dave) and for the very first time Rebecca (Cuatro Chihuahuas), who has only been here pretty much since the inception of Spawn Kill…! This time we talk a little about what we were playing — the criminality of glitches in Dragon Age Awakening, and other masochistic things we’ve been up to gaming-wise, with the main entree being the topic of Metacritic — As the title says, is it good, bad, or a necessary evil? Kill Kast 07: The Ethics of Reviews

In episode 7 of the Kill Kast, Stephanie (Tigresa), Eric (The Herp), and Dave (Snarkasaur) as always talk a bit about what we’ve been playing before we get into this episode’s main topic: The Ethics of Reviews. We discuss what type of things in reviews are, obviously, ethical in each of our opinions, i.e. how long you should play a game before reviewing it, who is qualified to review what game, the most worthwhile/helpful type of reviews, etc. But, no matter how much we banter like hot 20-something grumpy grandmas about what is the “right” way of doing things, as Dave says in the end, the essence is somewhat moot, because it’s still all subjective.

For this podcast we could really use your opinions on the topics we discuss regarding reviews! We’d love to hear it to make our reviews the best they can be for our readers and listeners at Spawn Kill. We take a lot of pride in our reviews, and it’d be awesome to know what you all think, if you like “Second Opinion” type reviews, and more. Christmas will have come and gone in January, but doesn’t mean you can stop spending money! The Spawn Kill cast minus a couple of us — that’s Molotov Cupcake, Tigresa, K-Tuck, The Herp, and Snarkasaur — discusses the cornucopia of games being released Q1 of 2010 and various subjects that coincide with the games coming out as well as our subsequently drained bank accounts. For the Spawn Kill staff, delivering on solid news and reviews (and everything in between) isn’t quite enough. We want to deliver a full-circle experience for the reader. Hence, we are happy to bring to you Spawn Kill Kill Kast Episode 2.

Episode 2 of the Kill Kast features the presence of Tigresa, TheHerp, Snarkasaur, and K-Tuck discussing the impact of Modern Warfare 2′s controversial missions and multiplayer gameplay mechanics, Dragon Age: Origins, the preconception of budget games as being innately inferior, and the many titles past and present being played by the staff.

Reading Spawn Kill is fine and all, but wouldn’t it be absolutely wonderful if there were real voices to accompany you on one of your many repeat visits? Of course it would be. That’s why all of us at Spawn Kill are proud to bring you the Kill Kast, the official Spawn Kill podcast.

On this Very Special First Episode, Tigresa and Molotov Cupcake have a little chat about the intricacies of E3, at a glance – the highs, the lows, the inexplicably bad marketing toward tweens!
