After a bit of a technical issue Spawn Kill’s Kill Kast is back with episode 13! In this episode we talk about recent news, what we’ve been playing (Critter Crunch!), we laugh about a study that says kids who play games can turn into drug addicts later in life, and we discuss our topic of the podcast which is the recent copyright ruling that essentially said  jailbreaking an iPhone to create homebrew apps is legal and what that means for  gaming.

I know it’s been a criminal amount of time since we have posted up an episode of the Kill Kast, but we are here to make amends and get back in the groove. Our latest Kill Kast is hosted by Stephanie (Tigresa) as she is joined by Eric (The Herp), Dave (Dave) and for the very first time Rebecca (Cuatro Chihuahuas), who has only been here pretty much since the inception of Spawn Kill…! This time we talk a little about what we were playing — the criminality of glitches in Dragon Age Awakening, and other masochistic things we’ve been up to gaming-wise, with the main entree being the topic of Metacritic — As the title says, is it good, bad, or a necessary evil? In episode 7 of the Kill Kast, Stephanie (Tigresa), Eric (The Herp), and Dave (Snarkasaur) as always talk a bit about what we’ve been playing before we get into this episode’s main topic: The Ethics of Reviews. We discuss what type of things in reviews are, obviously, ethical in each of our opinions, i.e. how long you should play a game before reviewing it, who is qualified to review what game, the most worthwhile/helpful type of reviews, etc. But, no matter how much we banter like hot 20-something grumpy grandmas about what is the “right” way of doing things, as Dave says in the end, the essence is somewhat moot, because it’s still all subjective.

For this podcast we could really use your opinions on the topics we discuss regarding reviews! We’d love to hear it to make our reviews the best they can be for our readers and listeners at Spawn Kill. We take a lot of pride in our reviews, and it’d be awesome to know what you all think, if you like “Second Opinion” type reviews, and more.
