Hudson Entertainment Shutting Down

Hudson, you will truly be missed. In a blog that was posted earlier today, Hudson Entertainments brand manager Morgan Haro declared that Hudson Entertainment, the California-based branch of Hudson Soft, will be shutting down. Haro stated All of Hudsons previously planned projects have been canceled and that our office will be closing its doors at the end of February. Read on to see what else Morgan Haro had to say on the subject.

According to his blog, this extermination of Hudsons American arm is due to Konamis recent acquisition of Hudson Soft. He added that with the acquisition, there apparently wont be any need for the talents within the San Mateo offices of Hudson Entertainment. Hudson Soft will now be used for social games rather than continuing their previous plans and efforts.

Its a sad day in the gaming world but in the end, its all business. Hudson has been known for some classic games, including the Bomberman series and the Mario Party series. They will be missed, and we would like to say thank you for the games you brought us, and we wish you all the best of luck in the future.
