It Comes Down to 6 Choices: ‘Mass Effect Genesis’ Detailed
We already know that the original Mass Effect will be condensed into comic book form when Mass Effect 2 hits the PS3 next month. After getting a title for that interactive comic, we now have some details on it. Mass Effect Genesis will take 20+ hours worth of game time and spit out 6 key decisions for players to make. This comic won’t serve as a mask for the installation of the game, though. It’ll actually kick in right after the epic opening moment of the game ends, with Shepard’s life at the balance.
And to add even more to this prologue’s convenience, the prospect of being able to go through the original Mass Effect’s major decisions upon each new game of Mass Effect 2 is quite appealing. There will be no need to dig out your copy of the original anymore, which PS3 owners aren’t getting anyway, you just go through the 6 major decisions again. While there’s only half a dozen different decision-heavy scenarios, that doesn’t mean the possibilities are small. Far from it, in fact. PS3 owners will be looking at “700 permutations,” which will sprout quite a lot of varying outcomes in Mass Effect 2.
BioWare is bringing Mass Effect 2 to PS3 owners on January 18.
