Sonic 2.5D Video Looks Awesome, Sega Agrees

YouTuber BlobVanDam has had heads turning with his latest video, “Sonic & Knuckles 3D Mushroom Hill Zone.” After viewing the video, it’s easy to see why so many people are talking about it: it’s downright gorgeous. Regardless of the fact that the YouTube entry is just a fan video (sadly), it’s still a sight to look at, and it has even caught Sega’s eye. See the beautiful 2.5D Sonic as well as what Sega had to say about it below.

Sega’s ArchangelUK flooded with e-mails regarding the video. AAUK said “We’ve seen it for the love of Tikal, we’ve seen it!...Truth is we saw it hours ago and think it looks absolutely awesome.” With Sonic 4 getting so much buzz lately, maybe this well-received video will help lean Sega towards a new direction with their franchise.
