To commemorate the seven year anniversary of Trogdor’s glorious birth, Telltale is giving away the Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People episode 8-Bit is Enough.  Yes, just giving it away, only to PC users, but nevertheless, you do not have to pay.  This isn’t the first time Telltale has committed this wonderful sin, giving away the first Tales of Monkey Island adventure in nearly the same anniversarial manner.  They’re also knocking ten bucks off the full season price of $29.95 for today only.

If you’ve never experienced the majesty that is Trogdor before, just know that he first appeared on Homestarrunner.com seven years ago, burned his way through a masterful episode of Strong Bad, and spawned an entire subculture of weird nerdiness.  There’s even a song about him on Guitar Hero II if you need some mass market appeal.  He’s a dragon and shoots fire from his mouth.  He does not like arrows.  He has massive biceps. 

In 8 Bit is Enough, Trogdor breaks free of his arcade prison and begins terrorizing Free Country, USA.  It is up to Strong Bad and some classic 8-bit Videlectrix characters to stop his burninating and restore Strong Badia.  This is the fifth episode, and I’m sure Telltale will appreciate this spawning more interest in the series, which has already received oodles of praise for its humor and quirky gameplay.

The game is free people.  It’s not hard on a system as it’s an adventure game, and it nearly guarantees some laughs.  Go get it!  You’ve no time to lose!
