SYMBOLS-tongue-1Did you know that Gene Simmons’ tongue is over seven inches long?  I’m not joking.  Look it up.  They measured it once.

Will that piece of information make you more or less likely to buy the latest Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero DLC?  And if so, why or why not?

The truth of the matter is, there are three songs coming from KISS, and while you can’t play as KISS, or even just as Gene Simmons’ tongue which is what I’ve been asking for since the first Guitar Hero, you will get to play these three songs if you dish out the cash.  It’s a start.

The songs in question are:

  • Modern Day Delilah
  • Lick It Up
  • I Was Made For Lovin’ You

Not bad tracks really.  What’s more, they offer you the opportunity to air grind while tongue wagging at your significant other while they watch you play.  They’ll love it.  You’ll love it.  The world will love it.

In addition to this news, fans of KISS will get an opportunity to see them live on Facebook next Wednesday from their show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.  The show starts at 9 pm and is apparently happening because of this DLC release.  I have to question whether that’s a motive for throwing a concert, but a concert will be thrown regardless!

The KISS Track Pack is available today on Xbox LIVE for 440 Microsoft Points, on the PlayStation Store for $5.49, and
the Wii Shop Channel for 550 Wii Points.  You can also get the individual songs for 160 Microsoft Points, $1.99, or 200 Wii Points each.

And to top off this bit of news, check out a video of the songs in action.  The characters aren’t KISS, but you have to appreciate their effort, particularly in the make-up department.

Man, anytime I see good songs for GH DLC, I think, "wish this was on Rock Band." Mind you, I have both. I could play the DLC songs regardless, but I prefer the RB aesthetic and chart-tracking over GH. And my RB library is MUCH larger than my GH library.
