On a recent twitter post by Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling, the new box art for Modern Warfare 2 (the Call of Duty title previously dropped to establish a new IP) was shown. More importantly, the title shown in the photograph still contains the words Call of Duty.

Activison had wanted to push Modern Warfare away from the long (but respectable) series of Call of Duty games, but many reports and studies had shown that awareness for the title dropped without its Call of Duty moniker. Luckily, Spawn Kill and gamers in the know are well aware of the game’s upcoming release, regardless of its title.
