sodThe anime series Sands of Destruction, by creators of Ghost in the Shell, aired last year in Japan over the summer. Sega plans to bring over the DS RPG in its likeness within January of 2010.

Sega has given Funimation the rights to horribly dub over what was once an emotion-filled acting experience bring the anime over to North American shores, which should happen in spring of 2010.

Sands of Destruction is led by your male lead Kyrie who has the devasting powers of destruction and/or the ability to, you know, destroy the world. The game takes place in a land where human-like creatures called Ferals live long and prosper, while humans live as slaves under their command. There are two groups at each others’ throats to gain victory: Those who want to witness the world’s most utmost demise, and … those who don’t.

The graphics look very very in their 3D environment. Battles will be turn-based with a bit of a timing sequence involved during fights.

  • You know, not all dubs are bad. A lot of FUNimation voice actors are great quality. Just because they butchered DBZ and a lot of dubs are not as good as the Japanese track, that doesn't mean they all are.
  • Mr. Kenny
i think a lot is the keyword
  • Unfortunately I've listened to a lot of them since I own a lot of anime DVDs (NA release) and I just really don't like them. 90% of the time (I can name a small handful that are quality though) they are awful and lack all the emotion and passion that the original voice actors had when voicing the roles.
  • More games need an option like Valkyria Chronicles where you can choose to listen to dubs or read subtitles. Or maybe we need less crappy voice actors (is it just me, or is the male lead voice in every single anime done by the same doucebag of a guy?)
