Official Guitar Hero 5 Box Art Revealed
Don’t act surprised – we all knew Guitar Hero 5 was coming, and most likely we’ll see a tenth installment sometime during all of our respective mid-life crises. Activision revealed the official box art for the fifth installment today, and it’s looking a bit, well, lackluster. For a smash franchise such as Guitar Hero, I was honestly expecting something a bit more flashy and less amateurish. This art covers the PS3 and the Xbox 360 iterations, with the Wii to come following suit shortly after. Hopefully it will throw a bit more color and intrigue into the mix. It's not without its charm. Can't say the cardboard boxes they usually come in are necessarily better after all. If this looked like a genuine gear box it would actually be pretty cool to have. If that's just the cover of the disc case then yeah, quite sad.

I agree with Dav. It sucks and does look like something someone with MS paint could have put together… for one thing, the "5" doesn't even seem like it was done professionally. It's like they took a 5 from somewhere else and pasted it in. But I guess it doesn't matter, since I won't be buying it anyway, lol. And probably people who were going to buy it won't really care what the box looks like.

Saw GH5 presentation at E3 and the only thing that caught my attention is the drop in and out gameplay. everything else they sad was new to GH5 was already in Rock Band 1. but its just the same shit every year from those guys. i hope RB3 will bring something new to the table.
