Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 Hitting in June
Just a short while ago Spawn Kill held a contest giving away a copy of the first map pack for Call of Duty: World at War. Now, you can purchase your very own expansion for World at War, as the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 is being released in June via Xbox Live and PSN.
The second map pack will offer up three new maps, as well as a new playground to spend the zombie apocalypse within. “Banzai” is a map atop a tall river bridge deep in the heart of enemy territory. “Corrosion” takes place within a dank Russian trainyard, and “Sub Pens” finally introduces some submarines into the mix – bombed-out submarines, but hey! That’s something diffrent, right? On the zombie front, we can expect “Shi no Numa”, already a departure with its Japanese name. Imperial zombies will be on the prowl, rising up from the swamps to consume your brains.
“Shi no Numa” will offer new traps, Hell Hounds, more Perk-a-Cola machines, and the Wunderwaffe DG-2. You achievement/trophy junkies can expect 10 new feats to be added into the mix as well.
I’m salivating already. Who’s planning on purchasing? Let’s play!

I didnt think the last map pack was all that great but I have faith that they will release maps worth the price tag.

I REALLY REALLY hope they support Modern Warfare 2 like they have been WaW. I'm sick of WWII shooters, I love me my modern warfare. (P.S. to anyone who still this it is: WaW is not CoD 5)

Because they have that Modern Warfare 2 coming out.
I am a little bummed because I am sure most people will go to MW2 and never play COD4 again.
there'll still be a big CoD4 following. Look at CS 1.4, DoD, Starsiege Tribes still has a following!

@JDiPierro, I think even IW calls WaW COD5, from time to time. It is the fifth entry in the series however you want to look at it.
Hopefully I can win a copy of Map Pack 2 as well, I can't stand that PC gamers get them for free, but we have to pay $10? I could see 200 points to cover the bandwidth…Besides the fact that Treyarch is stealing something from the mod community on this next map pack (I'm pretty sure the Wunderwaffe DG-2 is taken from a Nazi Zombie mod called "Dead Sand").
