WiiWare Store Coming to Amazon?

Recently, Amazon.com launched its own Xbox Live store where gamers could purchase codes for various digital games. One huge bonus to this new system is that gamers were offered nice discounts on most games.
Now 2D Boys infamous World of Goo has also appeared online. For $14.99 (no discount, unfortunately), Wii owners can purchase the code for the game online. So does this mean we will soon see more WiiWare titles available via Amazon.com?
Unfortunately, it isn’t yet clear. Right now, the only advantage I can see (if discounts aren’t going to be offered) to purchasing World of Goo (or any other WiiWare title) via Amazon.com is you save a little money on tax. (Yeah, it sucks that Wii points are taxed!)
Only the future will show if Amazon will open an official “WiiWare” or “NintendoWare” (let’s not forget DSi!) store, hopefully with at least occasional discounts. Who knows, if this does happen, it could boost the sales of many titles, which, as the rumor mill says, are not selling terribly well in general.
Sadly, UK gamers will not be seeing either an Xbox Live or WiiWare store any time soon.
